Alice Růžičková is a filmmaker, teacher and film theorist based in Prague. She is one of the leading figures of the contemporary Czech experimental film scene. She graduated from the Faculty of Science, Charles University with a teaching degree in biology-mathematics and zoology-entomology in 1991 and from FAMU’s Documentary Department in 2004. Since 1996 she has been developing creative and experimental film projects with Martin Čihák. She collaborated with Martin Blažíček on his expanded cinema project, V_LTRA and published numerous texts on Czech documentary and experimental film. Since 1999 she has been working as a lecturer at FAMU and a tutor of freshman workshop, a deputy head of the Documentary Department. She also works as an external lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities, Charles University.
