András Baranyay was a graphic artist, a painter and a photographer. He graduated from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 1965 where he later worked as a teacher. He was known of his lithographs and chemically manipulated and colored photographs. He received the Kossuth Prize in 1999. He made his one experimental short film in the Balázs Béla Studio as a part of the Experanima series.
