Gábor Tóth is a performance artist, a filmmaker and a poet. He is known primarily for his anti-art slogans, which he produces as postcards and stickers. He completed two periods of training as a craftsman printer. He has been the founder and editor of various newspapers and magazines. In 1973, he founded the international experimental art magazine Experimental Art Publisher, and he worked as an editor for Hungarian Forbidden Radio, an illegal broadcaster, in 1993. From 1992 to 1993, he was also the editor of the avant-garde magazine Loose Pages. Tóth founded a free improvisation noise-music group, mesékstb/Tales Co, in 1995. In 1996, he was founder-president of the Pause-Sign Art Society. He also established the Unintelligent Art Association, is founder-member of the “texperformancemethamusicgroup” TITO Quartet, and – together with his art colleague Dr Marias – founded the post-dada music performance WELLNESS-Terror Duo. In 2006, he began a new project, publishing noisemusic and film DVDs under the name UninterestingandBoringevents.
