Teresa Tyszkiewicz is photographer, draughtsman, performance artist, painter and a filmmaker currently based in Paris. She graduated from the Mechanical and Technological Department of the Warsaw Polytechnic in 1978. In the seventies she was modelling for Zdzisław Sosnowski (her husband) and soon they released their first movies. (Goalkeeper, 1975; Permanent Position, 1979, The Other Side, 1980) „The films mirrored the changes occurring in Polish art in the end of the seventies when artists were looking for highly emotional and subjective means of expression” Tyszkiewicz calls her movies “images of the imagination in motion”. Due to their great erotic charge, „her very personal projects have often been associated with the feminist art which was at the same time developing in the world, yet the artist does not feel connected with it.”
